About the Job:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and support our finance department in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger transactions.
- Process supplier/vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations with proper supporting documentation.
- Manage customer invoices, collections, outstanding receivables, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of real estate sales transactions, brokerage commissions, and revenue entries.
- Prepare and reconcile agent commission statements, incentives, and commission payments.
- Track and reconcile developer commission receivables and customer payment collections.
- Process monthly payroll and WPS in compliance with UAE Labour Law requirements.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations.
- Perform bank, cash, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and management reports as required.
- Monitor receivables ageing and support effective cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate accounting records for sales, leasing, commissions, expenses, and other business transactions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents during audit processes.
- Perform additional finance and accounting tasks assigned by the Finance Manager
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- ACCA, CA (Intermediate), CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 2- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in UAE.
- Previous experience in real estate brokerage, real estate services, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT compliance and financial reporting.
